Richard A. Mayer
Richard A Mayer is Managing Director of RIA and responsible for the overall strategic planning and management of the firm. Prior to RIA, Mr. Mayer worked as an Investment Advisor at Morgan Stanley and in the Institutional Department of William Blair & Co. where he was responsible for serving clients in Chicago, New York and Connecticut. His career began in 1969 with Continental Bank where he served as a lending officer and later left that position to become President and Director of the Chicago Bank of Commerce.
Mr. Mayer has served on various boards including Fourth Presbyterian Church, Sedgwick Street Funds, Mayer Family Foundation, Brain Research Foundation, UCAN Children’s Network, visiting committee for the College of LS&A at the University of Michigan, Dean’s Advisory Council at the Kellogg School of Management and the Bluhm Cardiovascular Institute of Northwestern Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Mayer holds a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Michigan and M.B.A from the Kellogg School of Business at Northwestern University.

Derek S.
Elleman
Derek S Elleman is a Director & the Chief Investment Officer of RIA and is responsible for leadership in portfolio management, research, as well as many operating activities, including analyzing financial data and public records of companies, and providing support to other members of the firm in back office administration.
Mr. Elleman has been involved in the financial services industry for over 12 years getting his start on a Michigan State Student Investment Fund, an endowment managed by select undergraduate and MBA students at the university. He has served with RIA for over 10 years starting as an Equity Research Analyst. He has also served in a consulting capacity for various investment advisories.
Mr. Elleman received a B.S. from the Eli Broad College of Business at Michigan State University with concentrations in Finance and Accounting. He is in his candidacy for the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
